I did a survey on myspace last night that asked me to name some inside jokes that only me & a friend would understand.  Well-- i got a little carried away and listed a bunch...and I really enjoy them so i decided to post them on here too!

    Here they are:

    --------------------------------------------

Anyways...   Since i'm here i suppose i'll give a quick update as well.

Yesterday I had psychology class at 9:30 like always.. However--I woke up at 12:20pm!!  Oops!  Good thing my psychology class is just a boring lecture class that doesn't exactly require you to be in class because the teacher basically just reads from the book!

Last night Melissa & I went out to dinner at Tucsons.  It was fun & delicious!  We also dilly dallied around Target for a while...haha

Today is Thursday and I don't have class until 5pm... So right now i'm pretty bored.  However, i should be studying physics.. so i think i may do that.  I also have to have a 10 minute speech prepared for monday--which i'm really not looking forward to!  but it's all good.

I hope everyone is having an awesome week & has a great weekend!

  • Hello!

So I'm sitting here in front of my computer trying to decide what to write about. I'm really curious to know if anyone actually reads this.  You have to be a member of xanga to leave me a comment.... So i never receive comments.  lol   Maybe I should switch to a more user friendly blog site. However--I've been using Xanga for about 3 years now and we have a close bond.  haha j/k   I can't believe it's been 3 years.  It's so nice to look back at old blog posts and get those nice nostalgic feelings :]  It's also fun to see how I've changed in some ways--and stayed the same in other ways.

Anyways -- enough about that. So Friday, Melissa and I went to see Barak Obama at UW- Green Bay. It was a really awesome & energizing experience.  I enjoyed the 'thrill of the rally'... haha  (that's a quote from the book Anne of Green Gables... which is one of Melissa's favorite books)   Wisconsin's primaries are tomorrow and I think I'm going to vote!  I've never worried about politics much before-- mostly because I had no idea what it all meant.  Until last year I wasn't even sure if I was democratic or republican!  (I'm democratic)  I obviously didn't get a good grade in political science...lol   But this year I seem to find it all very interesting and worth-while.

There is so much snow in my area it's UNREAL!  We got about 10 inches of snow last week... and yesterday we got about 12 inches!  and today we got another 3.  I'm getting really annoyed with all this snow!! All of the schools in the area were closed today..... Except mine and Melissa's (of course...lol)  Usually at the beginning of winter I'm actually looking forward to the snow.. But after a few weeks, I'm ready for spring!!  lol I guess that's how it is for most of the seasons for me.   Except for summer of course.  If I had to choose one season that never went away... it would be summer!

School seems to be slightly less stressful this week.  I'm still strugling with physics... But i found this awesome channel on YouTube that has lessons on different physics topics... and they actually helped a lot! (i think i'm going to see a tutor at school too)  My teacher isn't very good at explaining things and just assumes that everybody knows what she's talking about. It's like she thinks we will learn everything just from reading the book--and i'm a person that needs to visually see things to learn them so it's difficult.  Don't get me wrong though, she's a really nice person.. just not someone I would go to for physics help.  haha

Speaking of school-- I received a letter from Phi Theta Kappa inviting me to join their Honor's program.  You have to maintain a 3.5 GPA to receive any of the benefits.  I want to join-- however i'm worried that getting higher than a 3.5 this semester will be really difficult!  It's my goal to get a 3.54 this semester.. since last semester i received at 3.53.. haha!

So last week I received and activated my first credit card.  Here are my thoughts about this --

Ryan + Credit Card = Bad Idea!!!

Yeeahhhhh.... Let's just say that I'm only $100 away from reaching my credit line.  (keep in mind I activated the card LAST WEEK!)  :\  Oops.

My sleeping patern is totally messed up... It's been messed up ever since I moved out on my own.  I tend to stay up really late and then have to wake up at 7:30am.  For instance--last night i only got about 4 hours of sleep.  Usually from around 3pm- 8pm I'm extremely tired... but then after that I don't seem to be tired.  Like right now.. it's 12:21am and i don't feel tired at all.  It's weird... but not a big deal.  I think I'm going to go to bed a little bit earlier tonight though and hopefully get on a better sleep schedule.

Okay, so I'm listening to channel on iTunes radio..and a song just came on...and the lyrics go -  "I'm horny, I'm horny, I'm horny all night long.  I'm horny horny horny Sooo hornyyyyy!"    hahaha it's strange. *changes channel*

    This is me being bored.

This is me NOT being bored with the beautiful Oshkosh girls. lol :]

Well.. I wrote a lot more than I thought I was going to.. So thanks for reading all of this if you did!  I hope everyone is enjoying their week & remember-- There's more to living than being alive!  :]

    Talk to you soon!

  • Okayyyy--Time for a real update.

It's been about two & a half months since my last big update on life... So bare with me!

November was for the most part, pretty eventful and fun.  It consisted of a lot of hanging out with my close friends and doing random fun things.  For example: Melissa (who is my best friend for those who don't know) and I took a random road trip to Stevens Point to visit our friend Samantha.  It went well--but most importantly--it went exactly how we expected it to go.  Melissa & I very keen on how are friends will treat certain situations...lol

The week after that was busy busy busy... Bobbi & I went to UW-Oshkosh so she could have a meeting with her advisor. (this was the first time I visited the campus and fell in love--more about this later...)  We also hung out with Abi & Steph for bit :]

The rest of November consisted of dinners (and game nights) at Melissa's house, some early Christmas shopping,  and Door County nights with Bobbi & Natalie.  Overall -- A good month.

Melissa & I kicked off December with an interesting & dynamic trip to Melissa's family xmas in Minnesota!  haha  (yes... we're so close that I joined her on her family christmas trip!) This was the first time I met most of Melissa's family.. and I thought they were really nice & welcoming--which was really nice to be apart of.

The rest of December was mostly full of final exams & a lot of homework.  Also, it was the time of year when I get hit reallyyy hard with S.A.D (season affective disorder)  I think I had it the worst this year.  I spent a whole week without leaving my apartment once.  It was so bad!!  :S

Don't worry though, things really turned around after Christmas.  New Years Eve was amazing this year.  I managed to see almost everyone important to me in one night!  The night started off with hanging out at Ashley's house & getting ready (as usual..lol)   Then me, samantha & ashley headed to Dusty & Shane's apartment for a party.  I mingled with some high school friends and just kind of chilled.  Around 11pm it was time to leave.   So then i went to Wave Pointe Resort for another party.  This was probably the best part of the night and we all had a ton of fun!   If you're friends with me on facebook or myspace you've probably seen the pictures..lol  :]

We started New Years Day off the right way with a trip to Pudgy Seaguls for breakfast-- the most classic thing you can do after a night of partying in Door County! haha

So.. the rest of January was pretty simple--Until January 18th.  Since then, my life has changed a lot.  A lot a lot.

It's really hard to explain... and I'm still not ready to go into detail about it.  But the point is--I've never been happier with my life than right now.  Yes, there are some major issues that i'm dealing with, but I'm not letting them affect (or is it effect? lol) my life like they would have a month ago.  There are too many things in life to be happy about to walk around being sad and bringing everyone down with you, right??   I guess I'll say that I did the HARDEST thing i've ever done before..and it was one of the BEST decisions of my life.  :D   To make this even more confusing for you-- none of this would have happened if it weren't for someone I've never met before.  I also owe a lot to my closest friends for being there for me and helping me out.  However, none of them are going through or have gone through what I am.. so having someone to talk to that DID go through what I am, made it soo much easier and I'm very grateful for that.   I just decided i'm a horrible writer.  actually, i can write pretty well if i try.  Let's just say that i'm saving all my creative energy for my papers for school.... haha

Anyways..  It's February now and things are GREAT!  Last weekend was amazing!!  I went to UW-Oshkosh to visit Bobbi.  It was a blast.

Okay.. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow and i can barely keep my eyes open...so i'm going to have to cut this short!  i'm sorry!

Moral of the story is -- I'm happy.   I'm grateful for everyone in my life right now. Life's good. I want it to be spring...But LIFE IS SO GOOD!
